Hey  everyone! Just wanted to stop by and let you all know I'm still alive! Had a most super awesome vacation last week with my sis, LadyShard and our mom, destined357. And I do mean SUPER AWESOME. Right now though I'm just dealing with the less than stellar fun of last minute packing and cleaning. Oh yeah, always a joy. Tomorrow our internet is getting cut off and on Friday morning we head on out at 5 am. Wish me a safe drive across country everyone! Even though I won't see it until I'm (hopefully) safely there. Take care my friends.

I'm updating everyone on my Quest for Pink post with some new info. Because the original post was a bit vague.
Basically, I'm going to start off with Pinky and Pinky Pie in a picture. Then I'm going to go down the list (not in any particular order)and work on another 2-4 characters, and then add them to the picture. The picture will expand as I go, revealing the overall finished picture.
I've never done anything like this before, and I'm pretty excited to take it on.

As before, please feel free to volunteer Pink characters and your own Pink Oc's. (or your friend's, just make sure you have permission.)
I'm looking forward to getting started on this but I have two pics to finish first and then my huge move in two weeks.
SO, this means we can spend well over a month to gather Pink Oc's before I can even get started.

Figured I should let you know up front. I'm going to make a huge post about the Pink project here, but I wanted a quick update on life stuff journal first.

Things are going well. Almost done packing. Got my trailer ready. Still waiting to hear about HOUSING when we get out there, but we have the route planned out and camp sites ready and everything. Here's hoping the nearly 2,000 mile trip goes off with, let's say, minimal hitches. I'm not silly enough to hope for NO hitches.

In life news...let's see...been reading, drawing, and watching shows in my spare time like usual.

So, once I uploaded my Pinky OC ref sheet for the league I got a few notes that boiled down to, "Is she supposed to be Pinky Pie gijinka?"Now, I wasn't insulted by this in anyway. I think the new MLP is HILARIOUS. However the answer is a very simple, "No, sorry." Pinky was created as a spur of the moment OC one day back in September of 2007. There was the whole breast cancer awareness thing going on at the time and I made her up on a silly whim along with my CRAZY love for the color pink. (and magenta, honestly).
But I got to thinking, "What IF someone made a picture of Pinky with Pinky Pie?" That would be pretty AWESOME. So then of course (as one "What if?" is never enough) I thought, "What if I did it, and DID make Pinky Pie gijinka? They would definitely have a very pink time.

And THEN I thought, "Well, what if a BUNCH of pink characters joined in?? That would be SOOO AWESOME!!!"

SO, now I'm sitting here trying to think of all the very pink characters I can. The list is kind of big, but the next WHAT IF is where I need YOUR help my friends!

I NEED YOUR PINK OCs!!! I mean, I don't just want mine up there in a big ol' bunch of fanart. That would be kind of ODD.

In life news...nothing much...packing, packing, more packing... yeah, real exciting, huh? I think I KNOW the real excitement will come after the move!

Yeah still trying like nuts to get things done! Just a few weeks until we all head out west. Holy crap I can't wait.
It's nerve wracking but I just can't wait to be somewhere that, well, has things I actually WANT to do. Where I live now, it's seems like everyone does three things. #1 of those is EAT. You can probably guess what numbers 2 & 3 are. I have a man so number 2 is way out, and I wouldn't even consider number three. I'll leave it at that.

ANYWAYS, yes I hit 100 deviations! Well, with the new ID 101. Don't know why my front page stats state 103. Ignore that, it's smoking dope. You might think after that picture that I am too. I'm not. Like I said, no number 3 for me.  100% Rainbow Pickles started as a joke 4 years ago. (Take three random words, then draw it). Way back when LadyShard got "Voodoo Chicken Goggles" which led to that mini strip.
Yes, I take forever to get around to some things. I guess it's good I waited though. Fits in well with the 100 theme here.

As for other art, I'm putting a few things on hold for now. I have to pack up my art computer soon. I did decide that since I didn't make it into to enter another league instead. How do I not bother with being disappointed again? Join a league without an audition or prizes. So I'm heading off to   Who's entering? Well... you'll see... Hopefully people will want to battle me.

In other life news, I've just been busy like I said. Had things to do over the weekend, had a nice fourth even though we skipped the local fireworks which I heard sucked anyways. The rest of this week I'll be busy packing like mad.
Then the week after that is vacation time and I'll be BLIND with busyness, and then the week after that is the big 1,600 mile move. Pulling that off will be interesting. Hope with me for interesting good, not interesting BAD, ok?
